About us
Established in 2006 in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, BC, ANR Construction Ltd. specializes in commercial and institutional construction and renovations. Over the past ten years not only has ANR worked locally, but we have also built relationships with national brands and travelled across Western Canada servicing repeat clients to meet their commercial and institutional construction needs.
ANR prides itself in being able to consistently deliver on its motto of producing projects “beyond expectations.” Previous projects include, but are not limited to: retail stores (both new construction and renovations), brand new retail box stores ranging from 15,000 to 23,000 square feet (fully turn keyed in some cases), professional spaces including offices and medical facilities, locally and nationally recognized restaurants, and multiple bowling alleys. One of our feature projects is the construction of the Tourism Kelowna Visitors Centre in 2018. This project included modern features like sloped, curved roofs, metal wall cladding, and nano doors. The Visitor’s Centre also won the Award of Merit in the Thompson Okanagan Kootenay Commercial Building Awards in 2018. ANR was also the runner up in the institutional category for the Woodworks BC Awards for our use of four different kinds of BC wood in the Tourism Kelowna Visitors Centre.
THE ANR CONSTRUCTION TEAM
ANR Construction was established by Rob Zumbo, who resides as the director and lead project manager. This family-run business also includes his brother Mark as a Project Manager, and brother Antonio as a Project Coordinator. Rob and Mark grew up working for their father’s concrete business, where they got to experience the business side of construction early on. This inspired Rob to start his own construction company, and the influence of their father’s business has carried through the years. Their father had 45 employees at his company’s peak, ANR has close to 30. Some employees who used to work for their father have continued to work for ANR Construction, and many remember his legacy.

ANR Construction creates value for its clients through its diverse portfolio. We have worked in an array of sectors from retail tenant improvements and restaurants to school and health centre renovations, to mall additions and commercial centres. This diversity allows us to be able to deliver a high level of experience and foresight in our projects, and bring a fresh perspective to everything we do. This experience makes all of our employees more innovative in the way they solve problems, and improves their critical thinking skills. Our varied experience has also taken us to over fifty different locations across Western Canada, allowing us to build relationships with many suppliers and contractors to create a robust supply chain and trade network.
